Gustav Machat%C3%BD

Gustav Machat was a Czech film director, screenwriter and actor. He directedfilms between 1919 and 1955, including Ecstasy . He also was the screenplay writer forfilms between 1920 and 1955.

He was born in Prague, and died in Munich, West Germany, where he emigrated after World War II and worked as a teacher in a film school.
